Zac Blackerby - Station Manager, NewsTalk WANI & ESPN 106.7; Morning Radio Show Host

Zac Blackerby serves at Station Manager for NewsTalk WANI and ESPN 106.7 as well as the host of the award-winning morning show Auburn/Opelika This Morning on NewsTalk WANI.

Blackerby, a native of Opelika, is a graduate of Lee-Scott Academy.

He is a 2015 graduate of Auburn University where he majored in Communications. While a student at Auburn, he ran audio for many sports productions at War Eagle Productions that aired on the ESPN family of networks. Blackerby was an intern and later a part-time employee at Auburn Network during his collegiate career before becoming coming on board on a full-time basis immediately after receiving his college degree.

He has been honored numerous times by the Alabama Broadcasters Association with their ABBY Awards for Broadcast Excellence, including for a daily show he hosted on ESPN 106.7 and most recently for the Best Morning Talk Show, which Auburn/Opelika This Morning won in 2018.

Blackerby is a lifelong Auburn University and New England Patriots fan.

He and his wife, Leah, reside in Opelika.

John Bodiford - Senior Radio Sales Advisor

John BodifordJohn Bodiford has been in the radio business (almost) his entire life. He started working weekends at WJHO in Opelika when he was in school at Auburn University.

After graduation, Bodiford moved into full-time employment with the station doing the 6-10PM slot followed by stints at WDAK in Columbus, Ga., WFRI in Opelika as morning DJ and then headed off to Birmingham where he worked in radio sales for WQEZ-FM.

In 1982 he and his new wife moved to Bay Minette where he managed WBCA/WWSM.  Six years later, he moved to Sylacauga to manage 98 WAVE.

In 1994, he returned to the Auburn/Opelika area for good as the Sales Manager of WMXA. He was promoted to General Manager in 2008 of all six Qantum radio stations.  In 2015, Bodiford went across town to work at Auburn Network, Inc. as General Sales Manager.

Now semi-retired, he can’t bring himself to completely leave the radio business he loves. He now serves as a senior sales advisor for the Auburn Network’s four radio stations.

John lives in Opelika and is married to Mary Anne. He has one son, Brad, an attorney in Montgomery.  A licensed pilot, John enjoys flying in his free time as well as woodworking, mostly making sawdust, in his wood shop.

Amy Croushorn - Managing Editor, East Alabama Living Magazine

Amy Croushorn

Amy Croushorn, who has an extensive background as an interior designer, event coordinator, brand stylist and photographer, serves as Managing Editor of East Alabama Living Magazine.

A native of Tallahassee, FL, Croushorn graduated from Auburn University in 1998 with a degree in Interior Environments and a minor in Business. She was a licensed and registered Interior Designer for 12 years and the Lead Interior Designer for an Rosemary Beach, FL-based architecture firm for 4 years. She then served as Brand Stylist for a manufacturer and wholesaler of baby products, wedding/party favors and gifts before launching a career in the event planning and party blogging arena.

In addition to her role with East Alabama Living magazine, Amy owns and operates Amy’s Party Ideas, an Auburn-based business that develops and creates custom entertaining ideas. She also serves as a brand stylist for several national brands by providing photography and editorial content for their products and services.

Jordyn Dawson - Account Executive

Jordyn Dawson serves as an Account Manager for Auburn Network where she assists businesses in succeeding through developing and implementing strategic media and marketing strategies.

Dawson is a native Auburnite and is a third generation Auburn High Sschool graduate.

At Auburn University, she graduated with a degree in Vocal Performance with business minor. While a student, she was a proud member of Auburn University Concert Choir.

Prior to her media and marketing career, she worked for 10 years in the restaurant & hospitality industry. In fact, she still loves her hobby of serving at a local restaurant, Johnny Brusco’s, when not performing her job for Auburn Network.

Dawson enjoys using her vocal talents as a member of the Auburn United Methodist Church Choir. She owns the distinction of being the second-tallest member of the Auburn Network staff, but the tallest female.

She and her dog, Gracie, who she insists is the cutest in the world, live in Auburn.

Mike Hubbard - President/CEO

Mike Hubbard, who serves as President/CEO of Auburn Network, Inc., has been involved in broadcasting since the age of 13 when he starting working part-time as a DJ at his hometown radio station.

A 1983 graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in radio and television, Hubbard came to Auburn two weeks after graduation where he worked for six years in the Auburn Athletic Department as Associate Sports Information Director.

In 1990, he left Auburn University to head up Auburn’s radio and television sports network and in 1994, formed his own company, Auburn Network, Inc. In 2003, Hubbard sold the multi-media sports division of the company to International Sports Properties.

Hubbard was elected to a seat in the Alabama House of Representatives in 1998 and was re-elected in four subsequent elections. He served as Alabama’s Speaker of the House from 2010 – 2016 becoming the first Republican in 136 years to hold that position.

In addition to his role as President of Auburn Network, Hubbard is the Saturday morning disc jockey on the company’s classic hits station, Wings 94.3, where he enjoys playing the same great music he did when he was in high school and college.

Hubbard’s wife, Dr. Susan Hubbard, serves as dean of Auburn University’s College of Human Sciences. They have two sons, Clayte, a graduate of Furman University where he played varsity golf, and Riley, a sophomore at Auburn University.

The Hubbards are active members of Auburn United Methodist Church.

Ashley James - Director of Marketing, East Alabama Living

Ashley JamesAshley James serves as Director of Marketing for East Alabama Living Magazine.

James, a 1994 Communications graduate of Auburn University, has an impressive track record of identifying clients’ needs and presenting effective solutions. During her professional career, she has served as a sales and marketing representative for major pharmaceutical, business consulting and health services firms.

In addition to her business experience, James served as a Congressional staff member and liaison for former United States Senator Sam Nunn (D-Georgia).

While a student at Auburn, James was a member of the War Eagle Girls and Plainsmen, the official hosts and hostesses of the University, from 1992-94. She was also a member of the 1993 Auburn University Homecoming Court.

James, a native of Alpharetta, GA, is married to Cal James, Jr.. They are parents of twin daughters, Katherine-Ashley and Courtney.

Tracy Ledbetter - Office Manager

Tracy Ledbetter serves as Office Manager for Auburn Network, Inc. She is a 1996 graduate of Troy University in Montgomery, Alabama.Tracy Ledbetter

Tracy has been with Auburn Network, Inc. since 1998 and is considered by her co-workers as the most indispensable member of the team. Prior to joining the Auburn Network, she worked in customer service with Russell Corporation.

In her position, Ledbetter’s primary responsibilities include providing administrative assistance supporting all divisions of the corporation. She also serves as receptionist, manages affidavits and generally makes the entire office work smoothly.

Ledbetter is a native of Alexander City, Ala. She and her husband, Eddie, reside in the Lee County community of Beauregard.

Michael Pappas - Radio Traffic Manager

Michael Pappas serves as Traffic Coordinator for the entire Auburn Network family of radio stations and also performs on-air hosting duties whenever needed. He serves as co-host of After the Game on ESPN 106.7 following all Auburn University football games.

Pappas, a native of Dallas, TX, graduated from The Episcopal School of Dallas. Following high school, he enrolled at Auburn University where he graduated from the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering in 2018 with a Bachelors of Materials Engineering.

In 2019, he graduated again from Auburn with a Masters of Materials Engineering.

Pappas was a part-time employee at Auburn Network during graduate school before taking on a larger part-time role after receiving his Masters degree.

The Texas High School Lacrosse State Champion and three time intramural champion is the tallest person in the office. Often called “The Songbird of his Generation,” Pappas is a long suffering Browns fan who has opinions on everything from movies to the weather and he is not afraid to tell you about them. He really hopes to be able to afford a dog soon.

He thinks he is funnier than he actually is but, despite being an engineer, he is able to carry on a normal conversation with a non-engineer.

Painter Sharpless - Program Director, ESPN 106.7; Show Host

Painter Sharpless is Program Director for ESPN 106.7 as well as an on-air talent. He hosts the daily two-hour sports show The Lunch Break on ESPN 106.7 and also serves as the sideline reporter for all Auburn High School football broadcasts along with numerous other on-air responsibilities.

Sharpless was born and raised in Auburn and graduated from Auburn High School. He served as a Camp Counselor for six summers at Camp Mac in Talladega, AL.

A  2016 graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, Sharpless was involved in numerous areas including working as a student assistant in the Auburn Athletic Department, the Ralph Brown Draughon Library, the Cary Center for for the Advancement of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies, the Auburn Alumni Association and as Rush Chairman for Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.

Sharpless first started working for Auburn Network as an intern followed by a part-time employee. From there, he was promoted to his current position.

In addition to his radio profession, he enjoys history, listening to political podcasts, as well as listening to, discussing and watching sports. When time permits, he likes to spend time on a boat at the lake or in the sand at the beach.

Aubrey Stuart - Account Executive

Aubrey Stuart serves as an Account Executive for Auburn Network’s radio stations, magazine and digital products.

A native of Sharpsburg, GA, Stuart attended t the University of Georgia for three years before moving to Virginia when the U.S. Navy transferred her husband Brian. She transferred to Georgia State University where she completed her undergraduate degree in Marketing and Public Relations via distance learning.

Prior to her media and marketing career at Auburn Network, Stuart served as Regional Catering Sales Manager for Panera Bread for eight years and owned a marketing firm in Virginia for four years where she developed and carried out promotional sales events for Sam’s Club, Costco and Kroger.

In addition to her role as a media and marketing specialist, Stuart also owns and operates a fast-growing Etsy store.

She and Brian are the parents of two children, a daughter, Alexandra and a son, William.

Ben Taylor - Account Manager; Morning Radio Show Host

Ben Taylor serves as the host for Ben & Friends morning show on Wings 94.3 as well as member of the Marketing and Sales team for all Auburn Network radio stations and East Alabama Living magazine.

Taylor is a native of Red Level, AL and graduated from Red Level High School in Covington County.

He came to Auburn in 1996 and loved it so much he never left. After a finding a home in and love for radio at the age of 19 while a student at Auburn University, he has been involved in radio business ever since.  Even though he had dreams of being the next SportsCenter anchor on ESPN, radio was where he found a home.  He has been involved in some capacity of radio over 20 years spanning the areas of sales, management as well as an on-air personality.

Ben is married to the former Lori Black of Evergreen, AL and they are the parents of two awesome daughters, Annabelle (11) and Macy (10). Ben is also a pet lover with four dogs and two cats.

If you don’t see Ben at a station event, he’s probably on a golf course or searching for his next favorite bourbon!

Steve Witten, General Sales Manager

Steve Witten serves as the General Sales Manager for Auburn Network, Inc. In this role, he is responsible for all revenue development which includes four radio stations, East Alabama Living Magazine and targeted digital marketing.

Witten is a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Business Management as well as a graduate of Ohio University where he earned a master’s degree in Sports Administration.

After serving as Director of Marketing & Corporate Partnerships for Georgia Southern University Athletics, Witten joined Auburn Network, Inc., in 1997. At Auburn, Witten was responsible for selling corporate partnerships with Auburn University Athletics which included signage, radio, television, print and promotions.

Auburn Network sold the Auburn Athletics multi-media rights to ISP Sports in 2003. ISP was later acquired by IMG in 2010 which maintained the rights through 2016 when it lost the rights in a bid process. In total, Witten worked 19 years representing Auburn Athletics to corporate clients and rose to the title of Senior Associate General Manager.

Following his tenure with IMG, Witten served as a Media Sales Consultant with Raycom Media, representing both WTVM TV (Columbus, GA) and WSFA TV (Montgomery), providing television and digital advertising solutions to businesses in the Auburn/Opelika area.

Witten returned to the Auburn Network family in the spring of 2018 serving in his current role as General Sales Manager.

Witten’s wife, Beth, serves on the Auburn City Council and is the Mayor Pro Tem.  They have two daughters, Kate and Caroline, who are both students in the Auburn City School System.
